UP Board (Aaeon Europe) - quad core 1.44 GHz + 4 GB RAM

It was simply a question of time till a single-board computer at form factor of Raspberry Pi B+/2 with Intel Atom CPU was published. In 2014/2015 some Processor varieties for tablets, smartphones etc. were developed, which supplies energy-efficient (ca. 2W) processing power to a highly cheap price.

The first is the UP board with the Intel Core Atom Processor x5-Z8350. The electricity consumption of CPU + RAM + eMMC should be at 5 W. Price is from 100 € depending on configuration incl. Tax plus 15 Euro shipping to Germany.

Compared to the beta version the positioning of the connections changed and an update of the processor took place. Larger heat sinks were installed by the heat of the processor. The GPIO pins are with 130mm higher than the Raspberry Pi with 88mm.

UP board will be available to buy till year 2020.
